By that logic, Piccolo and Vegeta should have been able to handle 17 and 18 themselves. And we all know how well that went for the gang. (If you didn't click the link, it's just Vegeta being thrown at Trunks, Tien gets choked out like a punk and Piccolo gets backhanded, like a big green punk. That's the fight.) So assumptions are just what Oscar Wilde said they were even when a magic alien plant man is making the assumption. Make of that what you will, but I'm sure Piccolo still hasn't quite caught up to the Super Saiyans in that regard. Either way, Piccolo and the rest of the Z Fighters didn't even take him (Android 20) seriously. \ I mean pause that at 3:42, he's playing pinball with Gero! Literally. Gero isn't threatening, 19 put up a better fight than he did. Gero got man handled worse than Frieza and King Cold. Even Trunks Saga Future Trunks has this one, never the less a possibly "stronger and Zenkaied" one that shows up to help fight 17 & 18. If we're doing this linearly, then here we go. SSJ Goku & SSJ Trunks > Android 19 > Android 20 > King Cold > Mecha Frieza

Thats why I think trunks wins. Vegeta was told that Trunks stood no chance against the Artificial Humans, not that they were just stronger than him. Plus, he was also told that they were capable of killing all of the Zet-Senshi. His expectations were likely very high, rather than simply Artificia; Humans>SSJ Trunks. Trunks speaking to Goku: "I could barely manage to escape even when fighting one of them" to being strong enough to fight back "obviously still weaker, but a smaller gap is implied here" than what your saying, Piccolo and Vegeta say the cyborgs are not what they seem which was stronger than trunks by a good margin only.
